Some information about me:
I graduated in 1990 with a 5 year Bachelor of Applied Science in Osteopathy Degree from Phillip Institute of Technology (now called the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University ) in Melbourne Australia and in 1996 did a further 3 year graduate diploma in Osteopathic Paediatrics from the same university.
I recently moved to Washington and have opened up a new clinic. I would just like to let you know that my osteopathic training in Melbourne is not the same as American DO's as they are fully qualified doctors who can perform surgery, prescribe drugs, and practice family medicine. My training is a medical background with therapy solely in manual medicine. I am not an American osteopath or doctor and do not prescibe drugs or practice surgery.
I have done extensive study in Cranial Osteopathy otherwise known as Cranial-Sacral Therapy, and have been a lecturerer with the Sutherland Cranial Teaching Foundation ( SCTF ) of Australia and New Zealand at a postgraduate level for 17 years.
I completed a massage therapy course and am a licensed massage therapist and I will continue to work with the cranial sacral mechanism.
Over the years I worked with newborns with colic, poor feeding and sleeping, head shape problems and much more. Back, neck and joint pain is a common condition that I have extensive experience. I tended to work with patients who have tried many modalities that did not work and found that the work I do is helpful.
